The Communication Engineering (CE) approach to business is a combination of Analytical Problem Solving, traditional Project Management practices, and modern Marketing and Design techniques. It's focus is on the internal processes that function within a company and day to day activities of employees. The goal of Communication Engineering is to help companies and employees reach their full potential with regard to information flow and communication at all levels.

There are any number of reasons why a sound business might not perform at its full potential. The focus of Communication Engineering is to identify those that are a result of communication shortfalls or missed opportunities, and give those involved better tools to do their job efficiently. Solutions could take the form of timely reports consolidating information employees use regularly, a database making key information accessible to those who need it, templates that reduce workload or standardize work flow, an archive of information of work performed in the past for quick and easy access, or a process that ensures key stakeholders are involved and/or informed.
